I am about 100 or so pages into this book and the more I read, the more I dislike it. Whreas, I think the topic is interesting and should be written about, I don't think de Rosnay really delivers. The writing is choppy and without nuance. The characters are flat and uninteresting. The Julia character is utterly spineless and fairly pathetic. This is my impression of the book so far. I hope it gets better.
